Style Your Name ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at styleyourname.com and all of its sub-pages. We are an independent publisher of free browser-based name and font tools. For any privacy question, you can reach us at support@styleyourname.com.

You can use every tool on this site without giving us any personal information. There is no registration form, no login and no profile.

The only time you voluntarily send us information is when you contact us — for example through the contact page or by email. That message will typically include your name, your email address and whatever you choose to write. You decide how much detail to include, so please do not send sensitive information.

Names and designs: the text you enter into the generator is processed entirely in your browser. It is not transmitted to our servers, logged, or stored by us.

Like almost every website, the infrastructure that delivers our pages may record standard technical data in server logs. This can include your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and a timestamp.

These logs are generated by our hosting provider for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting and aggregate traffic measurement. We do not use them to identify individual visitors, build profiles or retarget you with advertising. Where a hosting provider keeps its own logs, its retention period and privacy terms apply in addition to this policy.

We do not currently use third-party analytics, session recording, heatmaps, fingerprinting scripts or advertising pixels on this site.

We do not set our own cookies on this site. There is no cookie banner because there are no non-essential cookies to consent to.

Local storage. When you click the heart icon to save a design, the site stores that design in your browser's localStorage under the key syn_favorite_names. This data stays on your device, is readable only by this site in your browser, and is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time using the "Clear all" option in the favourites drawer, or by deleting site data in your browser settings.

Your clipboard is used only when you press a copy button. The site reads a name only when you paste it back into the tester on the invisible character page, and even then the value stays in the page.

• To reply to your message, request or report.
• To fix bugs and improve the tools, using anonymised or aggregate information where possible.
• To protect the site against spam, scraping, abuse and security incidents.
• To comply with legal obligations that apply to us.
• To respond to copyright or trademark complaints about content on the site.

We never use your information to send marketing emails, and we do not sell it to anyone.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR:

• Legitimate interests — operating a secure, functional website and responding to messages you send us.
• Consent — where you have clearly given it, for example by choosing to email us. You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation — where we must keep or disclose information to comply with the law.

A small number of third parties help the site work. They may process limited technical data under their own privacy policies:

• Google Fonts — we load the Poppins typeface from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. When your browser requests these files, Google receives your IP address and basic request headers. See Google's privacy policy.
• Hosting provider — our static hosting infrastructure delivers the pages and keeps security logs as described above.
• Email provider — messages you send to our contact address are handled by the email service we use to read and reply to them.

If we add analytics, advertising, embedded videos or affiliate links in future, this section and our cookie practices will be updated first.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We may share limited information only:

• with the service providers described above, who need it to perform their function;
• if required by law, regulation, court order or a lawful request from a public authority;
• to protect the rights, safety or property of our visitors, the site or the public;
• as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case the successor must honour this policy.

We keep contact emails only for as long as needed to resolve the matter and keep a short record of it — normally no longer than 24 months — unless a longer period is required by law or for a legal claim. Server logs held by our hosting provider are retained according to its own schedule, typically a few weeks. Data stored in your browser's local storage remains until you delete it.

The site is served over HTTPS. Because we do not operate a database of users, there is no central store of personal profiles to breach. That said, no website or email transmission is completely secure, so please avoid sending confidential information through the contact form.

We may be based in a different country from you, and our service providers may process data in other jurisdictions. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses approved by relevant authorities, or on the provider's own compliance framework.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to request a portable copy, and to withdraw consent. If you are a California resident, you also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — which we do not do.

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Our pages link to external platforms such as Google, game publishers and social networks. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and once you leave styleyourname.com this policy no longer applies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party websites.

We may update this policy when the site changes — for example if we add a new third-party service. The "last updated" date at the top of the page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be clearly highlighted. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
